Overview

The idea behind Wakari, an accessibility technology platform, was to replace a spreadsheet-based questionnaire with something people could answer in their own words. The founder knew the product clearly but had no engineering background. The budget was fixed and had to cover the whole build, so every early decision carried weight. OpenKit provided strategic AI consulting and an implementation roadmap, shaped around keeping the founder in control of what that budget was spent on.

What the advice covered

A custom GPT and low-code prototypes that put the idea in front of real people.
How language models work, where they fail and what they cost to run, which is the vocabulary a founder needs to brief a developer without an engineer translating.
A red-flag framework OpenKit wrote for judging development partners, so the founder could test a pitch against evidence.
Scope documents and a staged validation route the founder could hand to a developer, with each stage proved before the next one was paid for.
